on january 18, liu yan, deputy director of the department of science, technology and law, national railway administration, visited the shanghai engineering research center of intelligent railway dispatching command system, accompanied by the leaders of shanghai railway supervision administration, the department of standards and norms of the ministry of housing and urban-rural development, shanghai shen-tie investment co., ltd., the special committee on railway satellite and application of new technologies, the rail transit standardization technical committee, etc.
the shanghai engineering research center of intelligent railway dispatching command system was officially inaugurated on november 18, 2020. the construction of the center is led by casco and jointly carried out by china railway shanghai group co., ltd., shanghai shen-tie and tongji university. the strong alliance will help accelerate the building of shanghai into a global science and technology innovation center.
liu yan and her entourage visited the station room, dispatching center, and intelligent o&m center display area, boarded the fuxing emu simulator for experience, gained an in-depth understanding of the new train control system based on digital twin technology, and developed a keen interest in casco's r&d achievements in intelligent dispatching and command and intelligent o&m.
later, liu yan and her entourage further watched the scene display of the suburban railway dispatching and command system developed by casco for bus-like operations. as an all-round rail transit control system integrator covering national railway and metro businesses, casco is dominant in the industry in both areas. after years of development and accumulation, casco has launched the stcs signaling system solution for suburban railways. the stcs system can be flexibly configured into a ctcs2 ato system with automatic turnback function, a high-speed networked cbtc system or a ctcs2 cbtc multi-mode signaling system according to the characteristics of line operation. while satisfying the basic needs of mass transit operation on suburban lines, it can interconnect with national railways, intercity railways and urban railways to meet the demand for cross-line/collinear operation of trains between lines of different systems. in the future, the system will be applied to important lines such as the shanghai rail transit airport link line, the shenzhen international airport-dayawan intercity railway (shenzhen section), and the dapeng branch line of shenzhen-huizhou intercity railway.
during the visit, the center also displayed a series of cutting-edge technologies. liu yan fully affirmed these scientific research results and encouraged casco to systematically analyze the influencing factors and critical paths of railway dispatching, explore multi-disciplinary o&m interoperability and integration, strengthen the research of suburban railways and railway intelligent o&m standards, seize the development opportunities of intelligent upgrading and digitalization of the rail transit industry, continue to make efforts to serve the national transportation power strategy with more forward-looking and innovative products, and help maintain the global leadership of china's railway technology.
