the shanghai rail transit airport link line is one of the first 11 demonstration suburban railways designated by the national development and reform commission, and the first suburban railway in china that adopts ctcs and has all the signaling systems designed, manufactured, supplied, installed, commissioned and delivered by one signaling system provider.

project overview

the shanghai rail transit airport link line starts from hongqiao railway station and ends at shanghaidong railway station, passing pudong international airport station along the way, with a total length of 68.6 km, 9 stations on the main line and a maximum design speed of 160 km/h.

the line connects two international airports in shanghai, hongqiao and pudong. after operation, the travel time between the two places can be shortened from 90 minutes to 40 minutes. at the same time, the line links up shanghai hongqiao railway station, shanghainan railway station and shanghaidong railway station along the route, which will also help realize the seamless connection between the railway hub and airports and the urban transportation in shanghai, and promote the integrated development of higher-quality transportation in the yangtze river delta.

  • integrating the dispatching systems of existing national railway and urban rail transit, it has created a suburban railway networked dispatching management system that supports interconnection with national railway lines and mass transit of urban metro lines.
  • while promoting mass transit, it supports cross-line operation and meets the needs of mass transit and networked operation.
  • based on the integration of dispatching and train control systems, the interface between the dispatching system and other subsystems is expanded. in addition, the information among dispatching, train control and other disciplines is exchanged and integrated to realize multi-disciplinary information linkage with intelligent dispatching system as the core, providing technical support for efficient operation, emergency disposal, multi-disciplinary collaboration and low-cost maintenance.
  • the flexible train foundation operation with 4 or 4 4 cars configuration, which has been realized to meet the demand of tidal passenger flow and achieve the precise deployment of transport capacity.
